            Player                                    Pos.                Team

1 Jadeveon Clowney                    DE                  Texans

No brainer pick. Clowney and Watt = death to QB's

2 Greg Robinson                            OT                   Rams

I assumed they would go with the NFL legacy in Jake Matthews, but you can't argue with Robinson's upside.

3 Blake Bortles                               QB                  Jaguars

Jacksonville surprised me by taking a QB here. I assumed they would go for a signal-caller in the 2nd round, but Bortles' talent is too goosd to pass on, I agree.

4 Sammy Watkins                          WR                 Bills

The Bills may have pulled off a coup here. Watkins is ready to make an immediate impact and the Bills had to get E.J. Manuel some more help. With Stevie Johnson, Mike Williams and Sammy Watkins, the Bills passing attack just got really dangerous.

5 Khalil Mack                                   OLB                Raiders

Any pick of the best available player was good for this slot. The Raiders need a lot of help and they get a top-notch athlete in Mack.

6 Jake Matthews                             OT                   Falcons

The Falcons had two glaring needs: An OT and a pass-rusher. They got the best blocker in the draft, in my opinion, and didn't need to make a move to get him. Now picking #5 in round 2. Do they go after GT OLB Jeremiah Attaochu?

7 Mike Evans                                   WR                 Buccaneers

The Bucs had to have a play-making wide receiver to get the most out of their QB, whomever he may be (Josh McCown or Mike Glennon). I'm so thankful Johnny Manziel was not the future franchise QB Lovie Smith said he would take, if he was available. More proof that I'm right to be so high on Bortles.

8 Justin Gilbert                                DB                  Browns

Some people don't like this pick. I do. I think this was a masterful job by the Browns front office. They traded back to 9 and gt a 1st rounder next year from Buffalo. Then they trade up with the Vikings to snag the best corner in this class.

9 Anthony Barr                               OLB                Vikings

I fully expected a QB here, but little did we know the Vikes were able to trade back into the 1st later and get one. Barr is an outstanding ball hawk. He'll look good in purple and gold.

10 Eric Ebron                                  TE                   Lions

I love the prospects for the Lions offense now. Ebron is a beast coming out of Carolina and he should have an immediate impact. The Lions added Golden Tate in free agency and now Ebron to help free up Calvin Johnson from double-teams. Ebron can also come across the middle or go deep.

11 Taylor Lewan                             OT                   Titans

Tennessee was locked on a pass-rusher I believe, but with the top three off the board, they decided to add protection for their future QB and RB whom they will draft both of in the coming rounds.

12 Odell Beckham Jr.                    WR                 Giants

The Giants needd a wideout after losing Hakeem Nicks. They can add a starting offensive lineman in round 2 most likely.

13 Aaron Donald                            DT                   Rams

Jeff Fisher loves defense. It is no secret. I was surprised with the move to square away the D-line and not add a defensive back here. I had Ha-Ha Clinton-Dix pegged for this slot for a long time.

14 Kyle Fuller                                  DB                  Bears

Fuller is possibly the most consistant corner in the class and that's solid Bears defensive legacy, consistancy. He could be a long-term solution to the Bears' secondary.

15 Ryan Shazier                             OLB                Steelers

When I think of Steeler football, I think hard-hitting linebackers. Shazier is that. I've said he reminds me of James Laurinaitis.

16 Zack Martin                                 OT                   Cowboys

The Cowboys could have went sexy, could have created buzz and controversy, but went safe. They filled a big need and disappointed drama seekers.

17 C.J. Mosley                                 ILB                  Ravens

C.J. Mosley has a great motor and an eye for the ball. He stood out in the SEC and should perform admirably in the NFL. I don't know if he's the next Ray Lewis, but it's worth a shot

18 Calvin Pryor                               S                     Jets

The Jets blew this pick. It's not that I don't like Pryor. It's that they needed to add to the offense more than the D. The hard-hitting Louisville safety should be successful.

19 Ja'Wuan James                         OT                   Dolphins

James going 19 was a shocker, but a tackle is exactly what the Dolphins needed.

20 Brandin Cooks                          WR                 Saints

The Saints added super-quick Cooks to the arsenal for Drew Brees. I see him running a lot of screens. Colston, Meachem, Cooks, Stills, Graham are great weapons.

21 Ha Ha Clinton-Dix                     S                     Packers

Clinton-Dix, I thought, was the best safety in the draft. It was close between him and Pryor. The Packers get a hell of a player for this late in round 1.

22 Johnny Manziel                         QB                  Browns

I am not sure why the Browns felt they had to trade up from 26 to grab Manziel. The Chiefs and the Chargers may have had interest in a QB, but unlikely. Regardless, they move up and get the guy many had them taking at #4.

23 Dee Ford                                     DE                  Chiefs

Ford was a tweener for me in the mocks, so going 10-15 spots than I expected. The Chiefs needed OL and WR help more. 3/5 of the line left in free agency – Branden Albert, John Asamoah and Geoff Schwartz. An already dangerous pass rushe just got better.

24 Darqueze Dennard                   DB                  Bengals

Dennard is going to be a starter in the league for a long time. The Bengals decided to go secondary instead of LB or DE, interesting choice.

25 Jason Verrett                             DB                  Chargers

The Chargers had to find a corner. Verrett was one of the best shutdown corners in college last year. Held ODB to one catch.

26 Marcus Smith                             OLB                Eagles

I don't know Marcus Smith and that's what shocked me. Rarely do you see a relatively unknown picked in the 1st round. He had 14.5 sacks last season at Louisville, improving numbers each year.

27 Deone Bucannon                     S                     Cardinals

Faster and bigger than Clinton-Dix and Pryor. He's a Dashon Goldson type, hard hitter but makes mental mistakes.

28 Kelvin Benjamin                        WR                 Panthers

I love the pick. Kelvin Benjamin was too good to pass on. Huge at 6-5, 240, with an 83-inch wingspan.

29 Dominique Easley                    DT                   Patriots

Dude may be talented, but he's torn an ACL twice in three years. Both knees.

30 Jimmie Ward                              S                     49ers

The 49ers needed to add a potential Pro Bowler, they don't have enough. Ward could be a star. He's a capable run stopper and very active in coverage.

31 Bradley Roby                             DB                  Broncos

Roby has everything but a stern toughness and size. Has 38 1/2-inch vertical. Terrific balance. Loose-hipped, quick-footed and agile

32 Teddy Bridgewater                  QB                  Vikings

The Vikings passed on a QB in the top 10 and couldn't let Bridgewater fall to Houston in the 2nd round. Bridgewater has a lot of smarts and a good arm. He's an instant improvement over Ponder.
