NC Atty. Gen. Joins Immigration Lawsuit

Several states are banding together to fight President Donald Trump's executive order on immigration. Monday the states of Washington and Minnesota filed a federal lawsuit trying to block the temporary immigration ban. Since then, 14 other states have joined in, including North Carolina. Newly-elected Democratic Attorney General Josh Stein said in a news release, the president’s executive order will make America less safe and taints the country's history as a proponent of religious freedom. The state Republican Party opposes Stein's support of the challenge, saying the President's action protects Americans.
