A Burnsville woman is expected to turn herself in today in connection with a deadly hit-and-run crash in Woodfin.
Fonda Adkins is wanted for felony hit-and-run and driving on a suspended license. Police say she struck 59-year-old Steven Banks near his home on Weaverville Highway last week. A warrant was issued for her arrest after a family member came forward.
Police say Adkins has been notified and is expected to turn herself in.
