Meadows Backs Obamacare Fix

Some Republicans in Congress are proposing a fix to Obamacare that is being received with mixed feelings among the GOP majorities in the House and Senate. North Carolina 11th District Representative Mark Meadows, chair of the House Freedom Caucus appeared at a news conference Wednesday with fellow House members and Senator Rand Paul. The companion legislation they propose would leave some of the most popular provisions of the Affordable Care Act in place, while offering new loopholes. The plan includes a tax credit for people using Health Savings Accounts, remove the mandate that all insurance plans include certain coverage, and allow people to buy cheaper, less comprehensive coverage.
