The apple crop in Western North Carolina could be in jeopardy if the warm weather continues.
Benny Arrington with Barber Orchards in Haywood County tells News 13 the warm air is causing the apple buds to start popping out. If they come out too far, they could be nipped by freezing temperatures later on. Arrington says his crop was a complete loss back in 2012, as well as five years before that.
He says he hopes the pattern doesn't continue.
