NC Bill Would Target ACC and NCAA

A state legislator wants the state to determine whether the  NCAA and ACC have overstepped their own charters by taking championship events out of the state over House Bill Two. North Carolina state Representative Mark Brody, of Monroe, said Sunday on Facebook that he will file a bill called the “Athletic Association Accountability Act.” There is belief that the two organizations may have violated their tax-exempt status by acting in a political manner and boycotting the state.
