Police in Washington DC are announcing a person of interest in the murder of a 34-year-old artist from Western North Carolina.
Authorities say Corrina Mehiel was bound and stabbed to death inside her Northeast DC row-house earlier this week. She was apparently living in DC temporarily but is originally from Burnsville. Police have released surveillance footage of a potential suspect. A bearded man can be seen walking into a convenience store in Beltsville.
Anyone with information is urged to contact DC Police.
