The Trump Administration officially drops a Justice Department lawsuit against the state of North Carolina that was filed over the passage of House Bill Two. The so-called bathroom bill was repealed last month and replaced with new directives on state-run facilities and a three-and-a-half-year moratorium on local governments passing new non-discrimination ordinances. Despite the DOJ lawsuit being dropped, LGBT activists say they will continue with their own lawsuit against the state. They claim the repeal deal is just as discriminatory as the original bill.
