Court of Appeals Rejects UNC Case

Another lawsuit, in which former UNC Chapel Hill students try to sue the school over its long-running academic scandal, has failed. The N.C. Court of Appeals rejects a case brought by former Tar Heels football player James Arnold and former women’s basketball player Leah Metcalf. They claim they were denied a quality education by the school when they were enrolled in paper classes that existed in the African American Studies program. The court says their arguments are too vague. Two members of the three-judge panel who denied the case are UNC alumni.
