Governor Cooper Honors Volunteers In Enka

Governor Cooper is making efforts to bring attention to National Volunteer Week.

Cooper was at Enka Middle School yesterday.  Cooper points out that last night's free dinner and homework help are available every week thanks to the United Way, Green Opportunities, the county school district and others.  He said he wants to recognize those who show up to help others in their community every week.

Cooper said the program is a good model for other communities across the state.
