Owens Pleads In Codd Murders

The case closes on the 2015 murders of the Codd family in Leicester. Jason Owens pleaded guilty Thursday morning to three counts of 2nd degree murder in the deaths of JT Codd, Cristie Codd, and their unborn child Skylar. Owens also pleaded to two counts of dismembering a body. For his crimes, News 13 reports, the Leicester man was sentenced to a minimum of 59-and-a-half years in prison... three consecutive 19 year-10 month terms. Details that came out in court include Owens claiming he accidentally ran over the Codds with his truck, and saying he was high on prescription drugs that day and covered up the murders.
