A multimillion-dollar renovation is underway at an Asheville middle school.
Asheville city schools officials were on hand yesterday at Reynolds Middle School in Montford to hold a ribbon-cutting, in celebration of changes coming to the facility.
Four-million dollars is being spent there on district's first so-called STEAM program.
The curriculum is focused on teaching students in the subject areas of science, tech, engineering, the arts and math.
Only sixth-grade students are served there this school year.
Seventh-grade will be added next year.
