A second person is dead from a fire that swept through a Yancey County home early Sunday morning.
Burnsville fire crews initially found 53-year-old Raymond Edmond Shepherd the Third dead inside the home after they were able to contain the fire.
Juanita Banks reportedly made it out of the home, but later died at the Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center from smoke inhalation.
The fire was thought to be accidental.
