A Barnardsville man is now facing multiple charges in relation to an incident where he was shot by a Buncombe County Sheriff's deputy.
The sheriff's office says units responded to a domestic disturbance call earlier this month and found Dayton Day Rice armed with a shotgun.
One deputy reportedly shot Rice at the scene.
A 911 recording revealed that Rice was threatening his ex-wife. He now faces felony assault charges and more, while the deputy has been cleared.
