7:43- Doug Parish- Students and teachers across the country will stage a classroom walk out today in a show of support for the 17 people killed in a Florida high school shooting and to advocate for stricter gun control laws.  EMPOWER is the group organizing the protest and says the walkout will last 17 minutes to honor each of the shooting victims.  Over 25-hundred walkouts are planned, according to the organization's website.
