Bill Murdock, Eblen CEO, announces retirement after sex charges resurface

Bill Murdock, CEO of Eblen Charities has announced his retirement.

Murdock came under fire after charges involving taking indecent liberties with a child under the age of 16 resurfaced from the 1980's.

Murdock has denied that he had any sort of sexual or inappropriate relationship with the survivor.

Eblen Charities released this statement shortly after 9:00am on Friday morning.

"On March 21, 2019, Bill Murdock announced his retirement as Executive Director of Eblen Charities. He will assist the organization during the transition to interim leadership. The Board expresses its appreciation for Bill’s many years of dedicated service to Eblen Charities and the people of Western North Carolina."
