Boy Who Used Disney Money To Feed Dorian Evacuees Is Going To Disney World

As Hurricane Dorian inched its way towards the East Coast last week, many residents in Florida and South Carolina were forced to evacuate their homes. The hurricane also ruined a trip to Disney World that six-year-old Jermaine Bell had been planning with his family to celebrate his seventh birthday. Bell had been saving up for the entire year to go on the trip and was disappointed the trip had to be canceled. The young boy didn't let the unexpected change of plans discourage him and decided to do something to help the people who were forced to evacuate due to the storm.

He used the money he had saved up for the trip to buy hundreds of hot dogs, chips, and water and set up a stand to feed people fleeing the massive, slow-moving storm for free.

News of the young boy's generosity spread and even Mickey Mouse heard about his good deed. While Jermaine was inside his grandmother's house doing an interview with Good Morning America before his seventh birthday celebration, a Disney bus arrived outside the home with a few guests for the party.

When Jermaine went outside, his face lit up and his jaw dropped as he saw Mickey Mouse and a group of Disney cast members waiting to surprise him with a trip to Disney World for his family.

Jermaine and his family will get the full VIP experience when they head to Magic Kingdom later this month.

Jermaine says that his motto in life is "live to give" and believes that in the end you will be repaid for helping others.

"Be strong. And if you do something good, good will come back to you," the young boy said.
