8:13- WHAT SHOULD YOU DO IF YOU HAVE BEEN FALSELY ACCUSED OF MISCONDUCT AT THE WORKPLACE?

People have the right to respond to their accuser - which means to know who, where, when, what and why. It also stands to reason that there will be women who falsely accuse because they want money, publicity or both. As a whole, we need to carefully separate out credible claims - that have facts and proof making them both logical and believable from those that cannot be proven. Claims based off of a he/said she/said incident about something that happened years ago could be exceedingly difficult to prove or - disprove, yet the increased scrutiny and media attention has created an atmosphere where all accused perpetrators have been declared guilty without a chance for defense.  While, the #metoo movement is giving women who have been violated the power to come forward - and we must honor those - it is important to remember that all individuals are innocent until proven guilty. Given current attention and the number of women and men coming forward, we are currently walking a tightrope - between believing the alleged victim and ensuring the alleged perpetrator due process.
