The hoax candidate for NC Supreme Court

This week I had a remarkable exchange on Twitter with the campaign manager for Chris Anglin - the Democrat who switched his party affiliation immediately before filing to run for NC Supreme Court as a Republican.

He's attempting to fool Republican voters and siphon votes away from the GOP incumbent Barbara Jackson. He and his campaign manager - Perry Woods - dance around directly answering this question, as you'll see in the discussion.

Here is the conversation:

Woods refuses to speak to Anglin's support of any Republican or conservative judicial philosophy. His only judicial-related position is concerning the process of how judges get their seats. Namely, election.

It's clear what Anglin and Woods are doing is deceptive.

It's clear they are lying about why they are doing it.

Moment ago, the leftwing website Slate published a piece about all of this.

Take a look who was first to comment.

Yes, it's hilarious trolling to stick it to the GOP using the rules they crafted.

Just don't call it honest.

Comey goes full Democrat

If you're trying to convince everyone that you didn't try to help Hillary Clinton win the election - and then undermine the Presidency of Donald Trump, maybe it's not a good idea to call on everyone to vote Democrat.

But, wait! There's more!

Asheville Police Captain Mark Byrd was fired by Chief Tammy Hooper for "repeated untruthful statements, as well as emails and other conduct  demonstrating a willingness to malign and undermine other members of the  command staff." (Byrd was rumored to be the one who leaked the body cam video of Officer Chris Hickman beating Johnnie Rush after after Rush fled to avoid a jaywalking ticket.)

Meanwhile, local activists are outraged (as usual) that the APD monitored Black Lives Matter and the local NAACP as the groups were organizing protests against cops, in the wake of an officer-involved shooting.

Buncombe County is going to get back about $2 million from those life insurance policies former County Manager Wanda Greene allegedly funded with embezzled money.
