A man is in custody for the brutal murder of a North Carolina artist in Washington, DC.
El Hadji Alpha Madiou Toure was arrested on suspicion of first-degree armed murder and theft. He's accused of tying up and stabbing Corrina Mehiel last week in her Capitol Hill rowhouse. The artist was reportedly living in the area temporarily but is from Burnsville.
It's believed that Mehiel did not know her attacker.
