Officials look for answers after an inmate died in the Buncombe County jail Monday morning. The Buncombe County Sheriff's Office says 40 year-old Christopher Boyd, Jr., of Black Mountain, was unresponsive when inmates were called for breakfast. Emergency personnel reportedly tried to revive Boyd for about 30 minutes before pronouncing him dead. Boyd was spending three days in custody after a probation violation.
