A California mayor has a big problem with the new version of North Carolina's bathroom bill.
Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti says it doesn't go far enough, and he wants to extend the city's ban on non-essential travel to North Carolina. Last week, Governor Cooper signed HB-142, repealing the state's controversial bathroom bill.
It keeps a few provisions in place, though, and critics say it doesn't go far enough to protect the rights of transgender people.
