One man faces felony death by vehicle charges for a deadly motorcycle accident that killed a woman and critically injured her husband in Buncombe County.
Investigators suspect Robert Andy Smith was driving impaired when his car struck the motorcycle.
Judy Rector was reportedly killed instantly at the scene in Fairview.
Family members have reported to WLOS-Asheville that Roger Rector is on life support and may be taken off later this week.
