APD Chief talks Councilwoman Roney's vote against new body armor for cops

Asheville Police Chief David Zack sat down with Mark Starling on Thursday to chat about a vote that took place at Tuesday night's Asheville City Council meeting.

Councilwoman Kim Roney voiced her opposition for providing APD with grant money and privately donated funds for new bullet proof vests for officers and de-escalation training for officers.

The Chief says that sends a stark signal to officers and their families.
