Multiple Explosive Devices Found in Downtown Brevard

Multiple suspected explosive devices were discovered near downtown Brevard on Sunday morning shortly after 10:30am.

The Brevard Police Department says a call received about 10:30 a.m. on Sunday morning reported suspected bombs in the area of East Morgan Street and Gaston Street near the First Baptist Church and the Transylvania County Community Services Building.

The devices had not detonated and there were no injuries reported.

As of 3:45pm on Sunday, parts of downtown remained taped off while the investigation continues.

This is an ongoing investigation, officials will be updating media throughout the day as the situation evolves.
