Nine people are facing federal drug charges for allegations of trafficking meth and heroin in areas around and including Mecklenburg County.
The FBI says it received the help of local law enforcement agencies in an effort to "end the deadly cycle of drug abuse" in these communities.
The suspects have all been indicted by the U.S. Department of Justice for crimes in the ten-month-long investigation.
