A developer is reportedly planning to sue the City of Asheville after city council unanimously blocked a proposal for a new, $24 million hotel downtown. Raleigh-based Parks Hospitality Group is trying to build a 185-room Embassy Suites on Haywood Street. According to the Asheville Citizen-Times, president Shaunuk Patel sent an email yesterday saying they have “every intent to push this project forward.”
