State health officials say incidents of flu increased last week and the flu season claimed three more lives. For the first time this season, one of those who died was a child. The Department of Health and Human Services would only say that the child was from the western part of the state. So far this flu season, 19 people have died from complications due to flu. Most of those are over the age of 65. Officials continue to encourage everyone to get vaccinated.
