RAD To Break Ground This Summer on new housing

A major development in Asheville's River Arts District is set to break ground later this summer.

The mixed-use, 60-million-dollar RAD Lofts project is the district's first major residential development.  It's going up on the site of the old steel mill plant at Roberts and Clingman avenues.

The site spans the length of three football fields.
