Bailey Lynn Queen has been located; she is safe and in good condition. Bailey was initially the subject of an Amber Alert after being taken last night by her father, Joshua Randy Queen. Sheriff’s Office investigators would like speak with Joshua Queen. The Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office requests anyone with any information regarding this incident contact the Sheriff’s Office at (828) 250-6670.

The Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office is requesting the public’s assistance in locating an eight year old missing child.
The call for service came into the Sheriff’s Office on February 28, 2017 as a domestic incident in progress at 20:54, with deputies arriving to the residence, 3, Asbury Acres in Candler, NC at 20:57. The reporting party in the incident stated that her ex-husband, Joshua Randy Queen, 32, of Candler, had assaulted her, taken their child and stolen her car.
The missing child is Bailey Lynn Queen; she is a white female, approximately 4’tall, approximately 50lbs, with brownish-blonde hair and dark eyes. Bailey was last seen wearing a white T-shirt and orange shorts.
Joshua Randy Queen is a white male, 6’2”, 210lbs, with blonde hair and blue eyes.
The pair is believed to be traveling in 2003 tan Toyota Corolla, NC Plate YPX-7062.
Joshua Queen has an open warrant for assault on a female, and is possibly armed with a firearm. If seen, the public is advised to contact the Sheriff’s Office immediately.
