The Waynesville Youth Football and Cheerleading program is facing a major problem after someone stole an estimated $25,000 worth of helmet, pads, and other equipment from Jonathan Valley Elementary School over the weekend. News 13 reports the equipment was in a trailer on school property, when someone hooked it up and took off. The theft happened sometime between noon on Saturday and 5:00 Sunday morning. The league is preparing for 7-on-7 spring football to start next week.
