The US Supreme Court says it will not take up the case of a Virginia transgender teen seeking equal access to school bathrooms. The high court's refusal sends the Gavin Grimm case back to the 4th Circuit Court of Appeals. The court ruled in favor of the teen last year, using the Obama administration's interpretation of Title IX as a law that applies to transgender students. The Trump administration has reversed that interpretation. Late last week the US Justice Department withdrew its request that federal courts block North Carolina's House Bill Two from taking effect. A federal judge issued a stay in that case Friday.
