The weekend snow melted off quickly, but Mother Nature may not be as kind over the next few days. Snow is again in the forecast for the mountains, but frigid nights through Thursday could keep any accumulation around for a while and threaten budding plants. The Weather Channel's Scott Lawrimore says the biggest concern during the cold snap is Tuesday night. He says the low will be in the teens and it will stay below freezing for about six hours. Lawrimore says that could result in the demise of any buds already on plants. He says we could see wind gusts of 30-40 mph Tuesday night, so that should keep frost from developing.
