Cooper Veto Overridden By House

The North Carolina state House votes to override Governor Roy Cooper's veto of a bill that would restore partisan elections for judgeships in the state. The vote was largely along party lines, with just one Democrat voting with Republicans to override the veto. The count was 74-44. The Republican proposal would allow candidates in judicial races to be identified by party on the ballot, something Democrats ended in 2002.
