Asheville police are hoping to shed some light on a decades-old cold case.
A woman's remains were found in Lebanon County, Pennsylvania 44 years ago, and new scientific testing could help identify those remains. Authorities believe the woman could be from Western North Carolina. She's described as white, European descent and between 16 and 19-years-old.
Her cause of death could not be determined.
