A 29 year-old Whittier woman is wanted by local authorities for attempting to pass fraudulent checks around the area. The Asheville Police Department says Jackie Diana King may have stolen checks out of the mail and cashed them in the Skyland area, and says she tried to pass forged checks at a bank in Candler Monday. King is described as 5'8'', weighing 115 lbs, with brown hair and brown eyes. Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to call Crimestoppers at 255-5050.
