Asheville Could Switch Banks Due To DAPL

The city of Asheville could stop doing business with Wells Fargo.

The City Council will hear a proposal today to pull Asheville's 150-million-dollar budget account from the bank due to its involvement with DAPL.  Wells Fargo is one of several banks that are financing the Dakota Access Pipeline.

The city of Seattle has also moved to divest its account from Wells Fargo.
