Woodfin officials are celebrating being ranked among the top ten safest towns in the state.
SafeWise ranks Woodfin as the tenth safest town in the state, up from its previous ranking of 14th. The list was based off of the FBI's Crime Report statistics for 2015 as well as population data. SafeWise then calculated the likelihood that a violent crime or property crime would take place for every one-thousand people.
Black Mountain is also among the 15 safest towns in the state at number eleven.
