Most of western North Carolina is under a Flood Watch.
The National Weather Service says periods of of showers and thunderstorms are expected through this morning. Rainfall totals could be as much as four inches. A Flood Watch means there's a potential for flooding.
People who live in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop.
