A Henderson County school board member is accused of providing alcohol to a 15-year-old.
The man was arrested yesterday on charges that he allowed a young man to drink alcohol over the course of a few months last year. He is the founder of the organization Only Hope WNC that helps homeless children and teenagers in the area. The sheriff says the man knew at least one child was drinking at his home for homeless children.
He turned himself in yesterday morning and has also taken a leave of absence from his work on the school board.
