Some Western North Carolina Schools Cancel Monday Classes

Hurricane Irma is causing some Western North Carolina schools to cancel classes on Monday because of the threat high winds and flash flooding.

Henderson county, Jackson county, and Rutherford county schools have canceled classes for Monday, September 11th.

Hurricane Irma has been downgraded to a Category 1 storm and is expected to start impacting the Western North Carolina region as soon as Monday morning.
