A child in Morganton is dead after drowning in a hotel pool.
The Morganton Department of Public Safety said a six-year-old boy was found unresponsive Saturday at the Comfort Inn on Burkemont Avenue.
First responders attempted CPR.
He was taken to CHS Morganton, where he was pronounced dead.
