State Lawmakers Propose Plan To Reduce Class Sizes

North Carolina lawmakers want to gradually reduce class sizes across the state.

A proposed bill would phase in smaller class sizes for kindergarten through third grade over the next four years.

Sixty-one-million dollars a year would be included in the bill to help school districts pay for the changes.

State House and Senate members could vote on the measure as early as today.
