The Sugar Mountain Resort and Cataloochee Ski Area remain open despite warmer than average temperatures this month.
Beech Mountain Ski Resort announced last weekend that its slopes were officially closed for the season one month early due to the warm weather.
Wolf Laurel also announced slope closings last week.
Both Sugar and Cataloochee report they will be making snow and plan to stay open as close to normal as possible.
