Asheville Police say they believe two convenience store robberies this week are connected. Sunday, around 9:30 in the morning, a black male wearing a dark-colored shirt and hat held up the Sunoco at 1563 Patton Avenue. Then Monday, the Montford Corner Store at 231 Montford Avenue was hit. The suspect in that robbery: a black male wearing a white jacket and sunglasses. No one was injured in the robberies. Anyone with a tip should call Crime Stoppers at 255-5050.
