Opinions Wanted In APD Chief Search

The search for a new police chief is expected to take several more weeks, but new City Manager Debra Campbell says it should be done by late spring. Campbell and others involved in the search met for a second-straight day with city residents yesterday. The public listening sessions were designed to find out what qualities the public wants in a new chief. Campbell says there will be more informal meetings in the coming weeks with neighborhood, business, and church groups. The city has an online survey posted, where you can weigh in.
