North Henderson HS & Apple Valley Cancel Classes Over Bomb Threat

Two Western North Carolina area schools have canceled classes for the day because of a bomb threat.

That threat was called into the Henderson County 911 Center about 7:45am Thursday morning reporting a bomb threat at North Henderson High School in Hendersonville.

North Henderson High School and Apple Valley Middle School were evacuated out of an abundance of caution

All students and faculty have been listed as safe.

Shortly after 9:30am both schools canceled classes for the day.

Students are being released in phases.

Henderson County Sheriff's Office Explosives Ordinance Tean, SWAT, and Criminal Investigations Division are on scene working to clear the school.
