(Candler, NC) -- Buncombe County investigators are looking into the discovery of human remains in Candler. The renters of a home on Beady Eyed Lane called the sheriff's office after finding evidence of a decomposed body Thursday afternoon. WLOS-TV reports a man was charged with concealing a death in the same area 16-months ago. It isn't clear if the two cases are connected at this time.
Asheville Police Looking For Hit-And-Run Suspect
(Asheville, NC) -- Asheville police are still trying to track down the driver in a hit-and-run. A man was hit while driving his moped last week, but the second driver fled from the scene. The victim has been recovering from critical injuries since the April 6th crash. An Asheville investigators says the suspect was driving an older model Ford pick-up truck.
Large Financial Loss Reported Over Asheville Parking Garages

(Wake County, NC) -- The North Carolina Highway Patrol is asking the public for help in locating the driver and a vehicle wanted in a fatal hit-and-run incident in Wake County Thursday morning. It happened around 7:00-am in the southbound lane of the NC 540 toll road, near exit 56. Authorities say the driver stuck and killed a pedestrian before fleeing the scene. Investigators are searching for an older model Chevrolet Impala, with damage to the front passenger side and the passenger side mirror. Child Dies After Falling Into A Neighborhood Swimming Pool
(Raleigh, NC) -- A child who was rescued after falling into a public swimming pool in Raleigh, has died. Authorities say the two-year old was found unresponsive, after first being reported missing around 8:pm Wednesday on Prichard Court. He was rushed to the hospital and later pronounced dead. Investigators have not yet released the toddler's identity.

Spirit Airlines At RDU Has Moved To Terminal 1

RDU officials say the move to the larger terminal was necessary, in order for the discount airline to accommodate an increase in flights over the past few months. More than 695-thousand passengers passed through RDU in February, which was double the number of air travelers during the same period a year ago.
