Seven People Shot Tuesday Night In Greensboro
(Greensboro, NC) -- Two people are dead and five are hurt after two separate shootings Tuesday night in Greensboro, North Carolina. Greensboro Interim Police Chief Teresa Biffle is asking for help identifying any possible suspects. Just before midnight, authorities responded to the first one in a neighborhood near North Carolina A-and-T University where they found two victims shot. One victim is 19-year-old Kaneycha Turner, a NCAT freshman from Statesville, and the second is a male authorities have yet to identify. It's now under investigation for a double homicide. Later, police found out four more victims arrived at a hospital with gun shot wounds as well. Biffle says one is in critical condition. Police responded to a second shooting twenty minutes later and just miles away with one person taken to the hospital from that scene.

Chemical Exposure Endangers Students, Bus Driver

Teen Shot in Drug-Deal Robbery
(Winston-Salem, NC) -- Winston-Salem police are looking for two suspects in an armed robbery that happened Wednesday afternoon. Officers found an 18-year-old lying in the yard of a home on Wyandotte Avenue who'd been shot in the arm. He reportedly admitted to police that he met the two suspects, who are also 18, at the South Little League ballfields to buy drugs.
New Poll Results Indicate Voter Turnout Will be Strong
(Greensboro, NC) -- The majority of 12-hundred state voters who were recently surveyed say they will definitely be taking part in the November 8th election. The results of the Marist Poll found about 90 percent of respondents said they were at least likely to vote. Pollsters says if that actually happens, it would be a huge increase in turnout from the roughly 53 percent of voters who went to the polls statewide in the last mid-term elections in 2018. Top issues for voters included inflation for Republicans while Democrats said preserving democracy was important to them.
Greensboro College To Offer Certification Programs for Aerospace, Manufacturing
