Hurricane Helene Causes Massive Flooding Across Swath Of Western North Carolina

Massive destruction is being sifted through in Ashville, North Carolina after Helene ripped across the state. The storm brought devastating winds and flooding with rescues taking place in multiple parts of the region. The western part of the state was hit particularly hard and led to dozens of road closures, including Interstate 40. Standing water is a huge problem and many parts will be without power for some time.
